The Course

Points of Interest

The course is one of the oldest in Warwickshire. Tiddington Road was a Roman road leading from Stratford to a fort at Tiddington.

Excavations adjacent to the sixth tee revealed a Roman industrial settlement with smelting and iron working facilities.

During the second World War land adjacent to the 10th fairway was excavated for gravel used to provide the embankment for the railway leading out of Stratford to the south. This was extended to other areas of the course including the area adjacent to 16th which provided income to the club during the war years.
