1986 P B (Laddie) Lucas Walker Cup 1947 & Capt Walker Cup 1949.
1984 Seniors PGA Championship won by Ernie Jones with a total of 280. Peter Butler and Christy O’Connor Senior played (took a 10 on 13th hole 3rd round). Best individual round 67.
1983/88 Pip Elson – Captain England Boys 1971; Rookie of the year 1973. Club Professional.
1976 onwards - James (Jimmy) C Wilson – Walker cup 1947 and 1953 and member.
1970/80’s – John Whitehead; Nick Tarrant; Andrew Dunbar; Neil Dainton, Carl Pettersson (of US PGA fame) and later Andrew Jones. All played as our Juniors and later flourished using their skills in Professional golf.

1928-31 George Duncan – British Open Champion 1920; Captain of the victorious Ryder Cup team 1929.
